Fixtures
The league season begins on Saturday 16th April with the first team opening up at home to Undercliffe while the second team start their title defence at Bowling Old Lane.
The Heavy Woollen Cup first round has seen the first team drawn away at Yeadon on Sunday 17th April.
The Priestley Cup sees us drawn away at Division Two outfit Great Horton on Sunday 15th May.
The first eleven will visit Moorlands and our old friend Andy Walker for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 9th April 2011. Further details and team news on the website early April
Team News
Ian Philliskirk has left the club and returned to Farsley CC. The club wish to thank Ian for his efforts since 2006 and in particular the unforgettable summer of 2009. An early return awaits Ian as his Farsley side are due at Jenny Lane on Saturday 23rd April 2011.
Experienced opening bowler Craig Hitchenor has been appointed 1st XI Captain for 2011. Craig is in his second spell at the club, rejoining in 2006 after previously playing with the likes of Mick Emmerson, Richard Robinson, Paul Spragg, John Marshall and Mark Bray in the successful period from 1997-2000.
Tabbi Bhatti has re-signed for the club from Undercliffe. The club welcomes Tabbi back into the ranks. Tabbi has been troubled by niggling injuries in recent years but has now undergone a hernia operation in a bid to regain full fitness. He is expected to be fit for the start of the season.
Promising gloveman James Midgley will keep wicket for the 1st XI in 2011 as the club continue to provide opportunities to young talent. Having previously had dual commitments with school cricket, James is now fully available and looking forward to the coming season.
The club are in advanced negotiations with a Sri Lankan overseas player. Primarily an opening bowler but also a handy batsman. Further details to follow.
Three of our first team players have spent the winter cricketing abroad. Harry & Tom Smallwood have been playing in Melbourne and Richard Atkins has spent a winter in New Zealand. All three have been in good form and are ready to play key roles with the first team in the coming season.
Ross Todd continues as 2nd XI Captain and will attempt to retain the 2nd XI Championship following last season's success. Pace bowler Brett Kinsey has joined Yeadon while stalwart James Butterfield is having a year away from the game but new signings are hoped for in the coming weeks.
Ashley Free will begin his second season as 3rd XI captain looking to improve on the sixth place finish in Division A of the Dales Council.
The 4th and 5th XI's will continue to blend youth and experience and hope for honours in Division's C and D.
Nets
Indoor nets have now begun and will continue every Saturday at Salt School between 10am and 12pm. New and old players more than welcome.
Events

Tying The Knot
Congratulations to Simon & Emma Webb who finally tied the knot in Las Vegas in the New Year. Simon is now back in full training for the upcoming season. Best Wishes from all at Baildon CC to Emma & Simon.
